Check out how your neighborhood scores in walkability (yeah, I’m pretty sure that isn’t a word) with Walk Score. Developed to help home buyers fond a home in a good location. Walk Score calculates the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc.
If you can guess the location in the image above, ill send you a batch of cupcakes.

This area is Los Angeles, CA….south of Hollywood. Specifically, the center of the map is the intersection of Arlington and W 24th or 25th. Great site, love your cupcake pics. Your baby Penny is a cutie patootie. (I am a proud owner of 4 Boston Terriers…aren’t they just the sweetest, most loving breed?!?!)and love looking through your stuff. Have a good week.
I believe that walk score is cool, but nowadays more and more people prefer to drive cars. Homes are often located in an area where some establishments are easier to get to by car than on foot. I’ve recently found a type of service on drivescore.fizber.com which is called Drive Score. It shows a map of what establishments are in your neighborhood and calculates a Drive Score based on the number of places within a convenient driving distance.
I think that we need to take both into consideration - walkscore and drivecore. It will show the whole picture…
